Dating ain’t easy in these modern times. You’ve got OKCupid profiles to worry about, Facebook messages to come up with, Google searches to do, online chatting while at work and all the texting, sexting, snapchats, read receipts, pokes, likes, etc. to read through. Dating with access to the internet is a multilayered cake that you need to attack from all angles.
And that’s not even mentioning your idiot friends’ dating advice! What happened to a good ol’ fashioned dinner and a movie?

Other highlights from the week in comedy:
- NBC, CBS, and Fox announced their new fall sitcoms. Andy Samberg and Mike Schur’s Fox cop show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, is the most promising of the bunch. NBC unfortunately passed on SNL writer/stand-up John Mulaney’s pilot.
- Parks and Recreation got renewed for a sixth season, and NBC officially canceled most of its comedies (Go On, Whitney, 1600 Penn, Up All Night, and Guys with Kids). Community‘s chances look good, much to the chagrin of Community fans.

- Rick Moranis is coming out with a new album, his first comedic venture in eight years.

- We examined the third season of Happy Endings, the last four years of Community, the Office‘s wrap party, and the current state of the sitcom.
- We looked at Jim Gaffigan’s new book about fatherhood, the end of Chicago’s Late Live Show, Paul Brittain’s time on SNL, Dave Chapelle’s weird Home Improvement spinoff, and Amazon’s comedy pilots currently in development.
