Meet BlackBerry’s New Low-Cost Smartphone

It’s cute, it’s cheap, it’s colourful. It’s the BlackBerry Q5! BlackBerry CEO just announced the BlackBerry Q5 at its BlackBerry Live event in Orlando, Florida just now.

The Q5 is meant to be an entry-level smartphone that caters to the emerging market. Seeing as how that’s what kept BlackBerry alive the last few years, it seems only fair that they get this new handset from the Canadian smartphone maker.

No word on specs or pricing yet, but Thorsten says that it’s shipping to local carriers in the US in the next few months. We’ll update you if we get more information.

In the meantime, check out how cute it is. It comes in red, black, white and pink.
