Gizmodo Wins Best Website At Australian IT Journalism Awards

Gizmodo has taken out Best Website honours at the annual IT Journalism awards. The gala ceremony was held last Friday evening in Sydney.

Gizmodo’s editor, Luke Hopewell, was nominated for Best News Journalist and Best Consumer Technology Journalist. Also in the running were Gizmodo’s weekend editor Logan Booker (nominated for Best Technical Journalist) and night editor Elly Hart (nominated for Best Reviewer).

Gizmodo was also nominated for Best Personal Technology Coverage — an award won in 2011 — and this year picked-up by sister-site Lifehacker. Meanwhile, Kotaku won Best Gaming Coverage for the third-straight year.

As publisher, I’d like to thank Luke for the tireless energy he commits to in-depth reviews and breaking news. Huge props also to Elly and Logan. Thank you to everyone who reads and comments on Gizmodo. We’re working hard every day to action your feedback and take this thing to the next level.

Allure Media is thrilled that we continue to be recognised as the country’s most outstanding technology publisher. Gizmodo, Lifehacker and Kotaku appreciate your support.
