We know that Twitter bought Aussie-born music discovery app We Are Hunted and have heard that Twitter wanted to make its own standalone music app for some time now. It’s coming out tomorrow. According to AllThingsD, Twitter will release Twitter Music — a new, standalone music application — on Friday.
AllThingsD describes Twitter Music:
The app suggests artists and tracks to users based on a number of personalised signals, including the Twitter accounts a user follows on the microblogging service. Users will be able to listen to clips of music from inside the app, using third-party services like iTunes, Soundcloud; they will also be able to watch music videos provided by Vevo, the music video service owned by Universal Music and Sony.
It’s just in time for Coachella. Everyone wants their own music app! [AllThingsD]
