Rugged phones are nice, but they are almost invariably crap. According to the Wall Street Journal, Samsung is making a move to kick that trend with an upcoming waterproof, dustproof Galaxy S4.
The WSJ’s unnamed source says the tenatively named “Galaxy S4 Active” will launch this June, alongside robust models of the Galaxy line’s 7-inch and 10.1-inch tablets. While signifcantly more damage-proof, the models are said to retain the same general look and feel of the more fragile devices they’re based on. Klutzes may be well advised to hold out on that Galaxy S4 purchase for just a little longer. [Wall Street Journal]
