Xbox Music Updated With Volume Controls, Cloud Sync And Improved UI

Microsoft has updated its Xbox Music app to allow for in-app music control and a more logical layout.

The new app is said to be specifically optimised for Surface RT users — always a welcome step on a system that’s seen more than its fair share of laggy software — and has its own dedicated volume controls, instead of relying on system volume for music playback. Local library songs can now be synced from the cloud, and playlists can be created via a Smart DJ feature. The updated app is available now from the Windows Store.
