Designer Ivan Zhang has the perfect solution for anyone who’s tired of angling the last book on a shelf so the rest of them don’t perpetually fall over. Instead of some space-wasting bookend, he’s simply to this piece which tasks gravity with keeping them all standing.
The arched shelves also provide structural support, constantly pushing outwards which keeps the folding frame from collapsing when it’s set up. And while function is definitely leading the way with this design, form is not far behind since the curved shelves don’t look too bad either.
