Watch Water Bend Like You Never Imagined It Could

Our favourite mind-warping illusionist Brusspup has a slick new trick to wrap your raisin brain around: water flows normally and then — BOOM! — it warps and twists and bends like you never imagined water could when sound hits it. How does this happen?

You wouldn’t be able to see what was happening in this video with the naked eye. It’s funny. The camera is set to match the vibration of the speaker, so it’s recording at 24fps, while the speaker is pumping out a tone to 24Hz. That creates this magic of zig zag. If you wanted to see water flowing in reverse, set the tone to 23Hz. [YouTube via Colossal]
