Sony Xperia Tablet Z Teardown: Painstakingly Packed Parts

From what we’ve seen of the Xperia Tablet Z, it is a skinny little wonder, if not exactly the best Android tablet out there. Where it is the best is size; its guts are packed nice and tight into that svelte frame. Now, we are getting to see that construction thanks to a teardown by, oddly enough, Sony itself.

This is not, of course, an excellent source of unbiased information with that being the case, but the tablet looks pretty easy to disassemble. However, you’ll note the short little pop-up that doing so would void the warranty, and doing so would almost definitely compromise the skinny little tablet’s waterproof and dustproof qualities, which are two of its biggest selling points.

The tablet is due on store shelves sometime midway through next month, and then we’re bound to get another deep-dive into its innards. For now this is the best autopsy out there, she looks good inside and out so far. [Sony]
