Some Law Of The Universe Is Being Broken When This Chair And Stool Stack

Some Law Of The Universe Is Being Broken When This Chair And Stool Stack

There’s a recent trend in furniture with pieces that defy the impossible and by all logic shouldn’t exist. First, it was that mind-melting distorted storage unit, and now we have Dave Ritinger’s chair and stool Mate set that somehow stack into a single piece.

When separated, the chair and stool — built from reclaimed wood scraps from a renovation in Dave’s apartment — look like they were hastily assembled from whatever chunks of lumber were available. But, when stacked, it’s revealed that there’s actually method to the madness of their design.

The two merge together perfectly like they were never meant to be apart. It almost brings a tear to your eye, but mostly because this is only a prototype and Ritinger has no intentions of producing these en masse.
