The next Windows update will be blue, but it looks like the Office suite to go with it will have a split personality.
ZDNet reports on the plans for the next generation of Microsoft Office releases. Practically every product Microsoft's working on has a "Blue" codename — although that almost certainly won't be the final shipping title for any of them — except for Microsoft's other big cash cow, Microsoft Office.
According to the report, the next generation of Microsoft Office will arrive in two waves, hence the use of "Gemini" as the codename. The first part will arrive at around the same time as the Blue update for Windows 8 itself, and it's expected to shift more of the suite towards the Modern/Metro style interface, to further enhance the touchscreen appeal of the suite.
