Despite the fact that Australia snapped up the Surface RT when it was first released in Australia, Microsoft decided to hold off launching its follow-up, the Surface Pro. All of our Ameri-friends now have access to the Surface Pro while we watch on with our jealous Australian eyes. Good news today for Surface Pro hold-outs, however: Microsoft has given us an update!
Now, don’t get too excited, because it’s still pretty vague. Here’s the word from Microsoft Australia:
Microsoft will continue its phased roll-out of Surface, bringing Surface Pro to Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the United Kingdom in the coming months.
The company won’t give us a firm release date, or a price. We’ll probably have those in a month or so.
