Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch Is Going To Apple

CNBC reports that Adobe chief technology officer Kevin Lynch is heading to Apple. Whoa! What does this mean? Especially given that Lynch has publicly trashed Apple in the past.

According to financial documents filed today with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, we know for sure that Lynch is leaving Adobe:

Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

(b)

On March 18, 2013, Kevin Lynch resigned from his position as Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, of Adobe Systems Incorporated, effective March 22, 2013, to pursue other opportunities.

Other opportunities, you say? We’re still waiting for the real confirmation that he’s landing at Apple, but that seems like a very real possibility.

Update: Apple has confirmed that Lynch is coming on board to work under Bob Mansfield as Vice President of Technology.
