After over three months, Windows Phone finally has a Spotify app again. The app just went up in the Windows Phone Store, and it’s rolling out as a beta.
The original Windows Phone 7 Spotify app was built by a third party, funded by Microsoft to get Spotify on Windows Phone as fast as possible. But that meant that it couldn’t be ported like any other app, and it needed to be rebuilt. This excuses some of the tardiness, but having an app sit unusable for so long was a pretty glaring broken window for the platform.
So it’s good Spotify is back! We missed you. You might have to wait a bit for it to show up if you don’t see it yet. [Windows Blog via The Verge]
