Google Might Be Opening Its Own Google Stores

According to 9to5Google, Google has plans to open standalone retail stores to sell Google products like the Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, Chromebooks, Google Glasses and more. The goal is to open its first flagship Google Store by the end of the year.

Unlike Google’s current pop up-style stores inside Best Buy locations in North America, these Google Stores will be more like Apple Stores and Microsoft Stores. A destination where people can come get a feel of Google’s products (and there is a lot these days) in person, in an environment that Google controls. Supposedly, the idea for Google Stores came from Google execs wanting people to get hands on (er, eyes on) time with Google Glasses. [9to5Google]
