Flickr For iOS Updated With Tagging And Faster Uploading

Flickr has just been updated to include some features you probably wanted. Among them are some basics — uploading is faster and it’s easier to save pics from your Photostream to the camera roll.

Then the app gets to some things you’ve probably missed. It now auto-saves your original photos before you add a filter. If you @ mention a contact in a comment or description, Flickr tags the person. If someone mentions you, you now get a notification.

Flickr has also bumped up the resolution of the lightbox display, so your images look better in that setting. And something it needed? The ability to take a picture with the iPhone’s volume up button. We like Flickr. And now we like it a little more. [iTunes App Store]
