Facebook Is Working On A Ticket Buying Feature

Buy tickets for the Rihanna tour on Facebook? Maybe soon. Facebook is reportedly testing a feature that would let you do just that.

Said feature has been spotted in the Netherlands and Israel, meaning Facebook is testing in select markets before going wide. Clicking a “buy tickets” button on an event page, though, takes you to a third-party site, so the transactions themselves aren’t actually handled by Facebook.

Ever have trouble trying to get someone to see a show with you? It would ease your social pains if you could just invite friends on Facebook, and with a couple of clicks, they could RSVP and bust out their credit card, making a firm commitment. Then they could say they’re going on their Timelines, in case anyone else wants to join. We’ve reached out to Facebook for comment, and will update when we hear back. Until then we’ll continue to search for someone to join us at RiRi this spring. [AllFacebook, TheNextWeb]
