Apple Just Sold Its 25 Billionth Song On iTunes

As far as online music goes, iTunes is still the product to beat, and despite the fact that many seem to have moved on to streaming music, there are still those who are buying music from Apple’s premier music store. So much so that iTunes just clocked up its 25 billionth song sold.

Apple crossed the milestone yesterday as Phillip Lüpke of Germany hit “Purchase” on a little ditty called Monkey Drums (Goksel Vancin Remix) by Chase Buch. To celebrate, Apple gave Phillip a €10,000 iTunes Gift Card.

The iTunes Store is well on its way to its next crazy milestone, too, as it now reportedly sells 15,000 songs per minute.
