500px Is Back In The iTunes App Store After All The Porn Nonsense

Holy crap, boobs! Apple last week excommunicated 500px, a photo-sharing app, from the iTunes App Store because apparently it made it too easy for people to find nudie pics. Looks like it’s been cleansed and baptised though, because Apple has welcomed 500px back into the fold.

The Cupertino Prude Brigade said in a statement that the app had been booted in the first place because it prominently featured porn, which is a direct violation of App Store guidelines. Whoa wait. There’s porn on the internet? Apple can’t really police that, and why would it want to? In any case, 500px seems to have made enough changes to get back in; it made it easier to report naughty images, changed the rating to 17+, and made it harder for naked pics to show up by default. Rejoice, friends, for your eyes are that much safe now from boobs. [iTunes App Store via The Verge]
