It’s been about a year since Tim Cook took the helm at Apple, and he has apparently decided now is a good time to start talking to people. Brian Williams got first dibs, interviewing Cook earlier today on NBC’s Rock Center.
It was a pretty standard issue CEO interview — laden with vague answers and lofty corporate sayings. But there were some pretty clear hints at a certain fabled future Apple product (it rhymes with vee tee), as well as some re-stating of today’s news of more USA manufacturing of Macs.
Cook does mention how Steve Jobs told him to never run Apple with a “what would Steve do” mentality and admits to the failure of Apple Maps. [Rock Center]
