Twitter’s Year Of Tweets Is Exactly What You Expected

Stop everything: Twitter has released its year-end review. What did we care about in 2012? Twelve months’ worth of tweets does a pretty good job answering that question, although it’s pretty much exactly what you would expect.

You can browse through the most popular Twitter topics, the tweets that were retweeted the most, the biggest hashtags of the year, top trends, the notable people who joined Twitter and so on. There aren’t a lot of surprises in there, except I had no idea @Pele was such an avid tweeter. And even so it’s a good refresher of what actually happened in the past year, because even the London Olympics feel like forever ago. [Twitter]
