Snapchat For Video Is Coming

When Snapchat emerged as the optimal way to send other people sexy photographs of yourself, it was only a matter of time until someone made an identical app for video. Vidburn is that app. It’s coming soon.

Here’s how Vidburn works: You take a video that’s up to five seconds long with your phone and send a link via SMS or to one of your contacts within the app. When the recipient views the video, it self-destructs after a pre-determined amount of time.

Vidburn’s developers suggest you can send “goofy” videos, but that’s horse crap. This is for sending suggestive videos of yourself performing whatever perversion gets your heart beating faster. Yes, the videos can only be five seconds long, but fortunately Chatroulette has conditioned all of us to be as sexual as possible in very short bursts of time.

Will people use it? Absolutely. And as with Snapchat, it’s not going to be completely safe.

Vidburn has been submitted to Apple for approval. If all goes according to plan, you’ll be able to send weird videos to others with relative safety within a week. An Android version won’t immediately be available, but the devs are working on it.
