Journalist and multimedia producer Richard Koci Hernandez, tired of the onslaught of photo-shaming, decided to take a stand with a video-essay and CNN article advocating for the state of modern photography. Hernandez points out the historical amnesia of today’s authenticity police, and makes a passioned argument for why people feel compelled to ‘dress’ their photos in vintage stylings.
