Kevin Rudd Reminds Us That Silencing Your Phone Is Golden

Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is no stranger to addressing large groups of people. He’s addressed the House of Representatives through to the Press Gallery and the nation itself when he resigned his post. You’d think, then, he’d know better than to leave his phone on when giving a speech.

Not only does Ex-PM Rudd’s phone ring during an address to the HeartKids charity, he picks it up, telling his wife he’ll call her in a few minutes. Lots of laughs all round, and a timely reminder to all of us to apply Silent Mode as often as possible.

We’ve embedded the whole video here, but for those hunting around the moment it happens, jump to two minutes in. [via Latika Bourke]
