Imagine The Drunken Emails You’ll Send With A Beer Can Keyboard

For really no other reason than they could (and to probably sell booze) the folks over at Robofun created an Arduino-powered computer keyboard that uses cans of Staropramen beer instead of plastic keys. Users at the Webstock conference where it was unveiled simply had to gently tap each can like they were using an on-screen keyboard to register a keystroke.

As each key is pressed, instead of the mechanical click of a traditional keyboard, the satisfying sound of a beer can being open is triggered. The only sadness to come from this is that we’ll never be able to buy one of our own, even if they rig a Bluetooth version that uses those tiny aeroplane bottles of booze instead of full cans.
