Photographer and Gizmodo reader John Eklund made this extraordinary time-lapse video featuring the Pacific Northwest region of North America. No one would blame you for thinking these videos are getting old, but some this one takes it to another level.
The project was shot in various locations within the region over the space of a yea, resulting in 260,000 odd photos. Eklund’s setup included a Canon 5D Mark II and Mark III cameras and a variety of lenses. The whole project used 6.3 terabytes of hard drive space, he says. Well worth the painstaking effort.
