This Trotter-Shaped Bench Looks Good Enough To Eat

This Trotter-Shaped Bench Looks Good Enough To Eat

There are few things more pleasant in life than having a nice comfortable sit down. Apart, perhaps, from pork. So why not combine the two?

That’s exactly what Portuguese designer Fernando Brizio did by creating pé de porco — literally, pig foot — which is simultaneously a porcine trotter and comfortable bench. Made from cork oak sourced from the same forest that is home to black pigs feeding on acorns, it’s a piggy delight.

It is in fact one of a number of benches commissioned to mark the 10th anniversary of the London Design Festival. They’re on show at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, but you can see more of them over at Design Boom. Don’t worry: they won’t all make you feel hungry. [Design Boom]
