GooPhone, the manufacturer behind that Android phone that looks like it was built based on leaked details of the next iPhone now says that it will sue Apple if the iPhone 5 goes on sale in China.
The Hong Kong-based manufacturer is said to have designed the GooPhone i5 Android phone after the alleged Apple iPhone 5 parts leaked. But it has a very rational argument: it released its phone first, so any similar-looking devices released going forward must be a copy. So since GooPhone’s i5 was released first, that makes it the original and Apple’s iPhone 5 a clone.
Make sense? Of course it doesn’t. It’ll be interesting to see what happens once Apple’s new iPhone is revealed a week from today. [Goophone via GizChina via Cult of Mac]
