This skinny house in Japan is almost nine metres tall and not quite two metres. Hopefully, all of its occupants are petite, because at its most svelte point you could almost touch two opposite walls at once.
Although the 158sqm place looks compact from the exterior, it’s actually pretty airy on the inside. It has two halves — one is slender and one is a bit chubbier, and the doorways that connect each side are open and breezy, without any doors. From the exterior, you might worry that the inside is stifling, but the white walls and high ceilings make the lean house seem bigger than it is. [Dezeen]
