The device will set you back $169, which also includes 5GB worth of data to use within 30 days. As far as data recharges go, the rates are the same as 3G.
Download speeds on Telstra’s 4G can range between 2Mbps and 40Mbps, with uploads ranging from 1Mbps to 10Mbps in capital cities and regional centres.
