Inspired by Tim Bray’s recent post about how many devices people carry, I started thinking — what’s the best possible combination of electronic devices to carry right now?
Obviously, we’d all love to carry a single device that did everything properly, but that’s some way off. When I’m out and about I carry a MacBook Air, a Kindle and my phone. It suits me well — the MacBook Air is for work, the Kindle is purely for pleasure. The phone is obviously a given, and it’s with me at all times.
But what do you guys carry when you’re on the move? And what do you think the most efficient combination is right here, right now? [Tim Bray]
