We freaking love the chaotic world of Reddit. But if you had to explain the intricacies of Reddit to your mother, how on Earth would you even begin? This video should help.
Produced by the PBS’ Off Book in the States, this segment is a nice primer on Reddit culture featuring a few prominent internet figures, including Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohnian. One of the best parts is a thoughtful discussion on Reddit’s complicated relationship with the female gender given that a vast majority of Redditors are men. There’s also some nice bits about the Reddit SOPA protest. A must watch for any scholar of Reddit.
