Victory! Apple has fixed the placement of weekdays in iOS 6’s Calendar app. I shouldn’t be surprised –it was so annoying that it probably had Steve Jobs rolling in his grave. This user interface agression just couldn’t stand, man.
But there is bad news, my fellow user interface and kerning fetishists. They still haven’t fixed the bloody off-centre number one in iOS 6’s Calendar icon. It’s still using absolute centring instead of optical.
Apple, it’s not too late to make it perfect. [Thanks Andy Preisendanz!]
