This Google Animation Explains How Your Gmail Is Sent

When blasting through a mountain of email in the morning, you probably never stop to ponder just how each message gets delivered to its recipient. In an effort to highlight the company's green initiatives, Google has put together a lovely animation detailing The Story of Send.

If you've got the time, we highly recommend exploring the HTML version of the story. There are more interactive elements to play with and additional videos that go into more detail on various parts of your email's journey. But if you just want a crash course, and some propaganda on why Google's not so evil when it comes to energy conservation, the Reader's Digest version in the embedded video covers the basics.

This video does a very bad job of explaining how a email really travels.

it is more like this video was made to tell people that "LOOK, hey look we are green at Google, and that makes us better than other companies." all in a lure of a headline that reads -this is how email works-

I suspected this was a quiet brand-launch when I saw the Google Green logo in that screenshot. Yay, your comment saved me wasting minutes of propaganda exposure, thankyou :D

They forgot the bits where they copy it again for the FBI and scan it for any advertising ideas.
