Happen to have an extra 900kg of glass laying around? In need of a Saturday afternoon project? Why not shatter all that glass and make it look like silicon oxide is oozing from your windows?
The work of artist Baptiste Debombourg’s, Ariel is part of an installation housed in an old German Abbey. Using sheets of laminate glass, Debombourg decimated it all in order to shift its form to his liking. The finished product is what you see above, which resembles water flooding in from the windows. Loosely referencing themes of 21st century consumerism and how it affects society at large, the piece is mean to provoke as much as it amazes.
