Apple Launches Free App Of The Week Promotion, Starts With Cut the Rope

Apple has announced that it’s getting involved in the free app game as part of its ongoing “app of the week” campaign. First up is Cut the Rope: Experiments, which is currently available as a free download — making it the first paid app to be discounted to free by Apple.

Elsewhere, Apple has also rolled out new “editors’ choice” branding, which promotes apps that are currently in favour. Currently, that includes Facebook Camera, Extreme Skater, Air Mail and Sketchbook Ink. [Appstore via The Verge]
