World’s Largest Rube Goldberg Machine Is A Balloon-Busting Masterpiece

If you thought Purdue’s previous Rube Goldberg machine was impressive, a 156-step burger-making contraption, you’ll be ‘blown away’ with its latest creation. A 300-step machine whose sole purpose is to blow up, pop balloons and set world records.

And that’s exactly what the school’s Society of Professional Engineers did with this tribute to over-engineering, which officially claimed the world record. At least according to the prestigious World Records Academy. So listen up parents, if you’ve ever dreamed of your kid becoming an engineer, Purdue will put them on the right track to world record greatness. Assuming they get through the 300-step application process. [YouTube via SlashGear]
