German design student Louis Rensch chose to flip the lamp in such a manner to highlight the ways in which LEDs are not lightbulbs -- namely, they can conform to different shapes and forms in ways lightbulbs cannot. And coincidentally enough, the head of the Angelpoise makes a pretty good base. Now when can I buy one? [Architekturzeitung via Core77 via Trendhunter]
