The 25 Billionth App Downloaded From Apple

Just yesterday, Apple announced that App Store customers had officially downloaded more than 25 billion apps. Now we’ve got some new details about the person who actually pushed Apple over the edge to help put the hugeness of that number in perspective.

The Next Web reports that the person who actually downloaded app number 25,000,000,000 is Chunli Fu of Qingdao from China, who won a $US10,000 iTunes gift certificate. The app, since we’re all a little curious, is a puzzler from Disney called, “Where’s My Water”. From what we hear, the game is a lot of fun, but there’s no way it’s as much as a $US10,000 shopping spree on Apple’s tab. [The Next Web via Business Insider]
