Will Samsung Seek To Block New iPad In Australia? [Updated]

Samsung’s heading back to Federal Court today, and reports suggest that it’s likely it’ll seek to block sales of Apple’s new iPad. Update: It turns out that their legal pitching at this point isn’t related to the iPad.

ITNews reports that Samsung has called a last minute hearing due to be heard in Federal Court today at 10:30am in front of Justice Annabelle Bennett; she’s the same judge who ruled over most of Apple and Samsung’s legal stoush last year regarding the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

It’s not clear at the time of writing what Samsung’s particular case is as the interlocutory application, which was filed late yesterday wasn’t available, but the timing of the application against yesterday’s iPad announcement might not be coincidental. We should know more when the hearing actually happens.

Update: ITNews indicates that the hearing is unrelated to the new iPad.
