Rumour: Google Drive Will Give You 5GB Of Free Cloud Storage In April

TalkAndroid’s got leaked screenshots saying that Google’s cloud storage service will have 5GB of storage and launch the week of April 16. That would put it in line with the 5GB of free storage from iCloud and a good bit ahead of the 2GB you get from Dropbox by default.

Previous rumours had pegged the amount of free storage at 1GB and 2GB, with varying release dates, but everyone seems to agree that some time in April sounds about right. We’re not sure yet what kind of integration and functionality Drive will have with other Google services, but more free places to stash your stuff in the cloud is always a good thing.
