Movies As Code Reveals Hollywood’s Script Secrets

It’s easy to think of Hollywood as working to only a few set formulae, but what if you reduced movies simply to code? The results are nicely functional.

(Warning: Mild Spoiler Alert for some older movies)

Movies as code presents popular movies purely as they’d be if presented purely in code form. For example, Speed ends up as so:

49):
$busMph–;
if($busMph

While Titanic is slightly shorter than its advertised running time

.titanic {
float: none;
}

There’s only a few examples so far — Die Hard is rather good — and I’m willing to bet a number of Giz readers could contribute more than a few as well. [Movies As Code via The Next Web]
