Previously, catalogues were listed as Lifestyle apps. It's interesting that the company has isolated shopping as a separate category in the App Store. Aside from providing you with a handy way to search for (or avoid) apps geared towards your retail dollars, the new category could indicate that Apple has plans to introduce a new shopping platform or changes to in-app purchases.
