The Titanic sank on April 15, 1912, and we’ve been asking questions ever since. Although we now know more or less why she went down, @RealTimeTitanic seeks to show us how it happened from the standpoint of its crew.
Starting today, the new Twitter handle will be tweeting about everything Titanic-related from the last stages of its construction, to her final resting place on the bottom of the North Atlantic. Like @RealTimeWWII before it, all tweets will be written from the perspective of someone who was alive while the events were unfolding. With each tweet tagged with the role of the person supposedly writing it (e.g. #captain, #engineer, etc).
From the looks of it, they’re off to a good start, but who knows what perils might await them (possibly in the form of James Cameron lawsuits). Personally, I can’t wait to see how they describe Rose’s ample cleavage in 140 characters or less. [Twitter via TheNextWeb]
