Nobody yet -- there's no movie plans -- but not one to let a profitable IP lie, DC has announced a series of Watchmen "Prequel" comics. The timing on this strikes me as really odd -- if you were going to do a simple cash-in, wouldn't it have made more sense to do so a few years ago when the movie was hot?
Nonetheless, DC's ploughing ahead with no fewer than seven different mini-series that (presumably) will examine in exhaustive detail every single blot on Rorschach's face, as well as why Dr Manhattan has that curious aversion to pants. If those sell, given Hollywood's general happiness to run ideas into the ground and then several kilometres lower, can movie prequels be far away? [Geekosystem]
