Vimeo App Brings Mobile Uploads To Windows Phone

Windows Phone just got an official Vimeo app. Like its Android and iOS counterparts, the app gives you streamlined access to all of Vimeo’s content. More importantly, it brings mobile uploads to Windows Phone so you can get that instant viral video up faster than ever.

Vimeo has long been YouTube’s professional-quality cousin, but the new app for Windows Phone and the Android app released last month show that the service is taking the needs of mobile users seriously as well. The Vimeo app allows you to manage all of your content and upload HD footage directly from your phone. There’s also handy pause and resume upload functionality so that you don’t have to indefinitely sacrifice your data connection just to upload a video. The app is free and only works with Windows Phone 7.5 or later. [Windows Marketplace via Ubergizmo]
