LG’s MWC Smartphones In Australia: What We Know

LG’s been very busy at MWC, releasing more than a half-dozen handsets to market. When can we expect them in Australia? Here’s what we know so far.

LG Optimus L3, L5 and L7
All three phones are expected in Australia sometime in the second quarter of 2012 — so not long now, although no carrier announcements have been made

LG Optimus 4X HD
The Optimus 4X HD is expected to launch in the third quarter of 2012, although again there’s no clear indication as to which carrier or carriers will offer it.

LG Optimus Vu
You’ll have to wait a fair while for LG’s 5 inch gingerbread phone; LG anticipates that it’ll be officially available in Australia in either the fourth quarter of 2012 or the first of 2013. The only upside there is that there’s a decent chance it’ll have Ice Cream Sandwich by then — or at least you’d hope so!

LG Optimus 3D Max
The 3D Max is LG’s mystery phone when it comes to release dates; while it’s due to roll out in Korea in March, and then in Europe, there’s no firm timing in place for its release or which carriers will offer it.
