Viagra Perks Up Penises Plant Stems

We know Viagra is good at keeping human penises erect. And shouldn’t that be enough? Not for one horticultural expert who claims the drug does the same for cut flowers.

David Domoney, a TV personality in the United Kingdom and decorated plant expert, says that crushed into the water of cut stems, the chemicals in the erection drug makes flowers last longer.

“You only need a tiny amount of Viagra to stiffen things up nicely,” he tells Metro.

Just 1mg, he says, of a 50mg tablet dissolved into water will do the trick. Viagra’s nitric oxide — the same chemical that allows a rush of blood to the penis, he says, also keeps blooms erect longer. He goes on to say aspirin works the same way, which would be a heck of a lot cheaper. If you’ve got some Viagra doses stockpiled, they do say flowers can make a home cheery, which could come in handy if you haven’t had an opportunity to use your erection drug in a while.

That Domoney would go to such lengths to keep his flowers perky should perhaps not be a surprise considering his strong views on competition (learn more at 2:18 in the video below).
