Use Cream Whippers For DIY Infused Drinks

Infusing flavours with liquor can often be complicated and time-consuming, but the French Culinary Institute discovered that you can create infused cocktails with nothing but an N2O-powered cream whipper.

If you want to make your own flavoured liquor, all you need to do is grab your cream whipper and pour in some room-temperature alcohol, along with whatever flavor you want infused—seeds, herbs, fruits or anything else you can think of. Charge the whipper with nitrous oxide, swirl for about 30 seconds, and let it sit. Then, just open it, strain it, and you’ve got yourself some simple, home-infused liquor.

It doesn’t work with every flavour out there, but it’s so quick that you can feel free to experiment without wasting a lot of time. For more information (as well as some interesting science backing up the procedure), check out the original article at the French Culinary Institute’s blog.
