Rdio Is Now All Official For Australia

Last week we saw that Rdio had quietly started accepting Aussie dollars when offering its monthly music subscription service – now it’s started shouting its availability to the rooftops.

The AU Rdio blog has been updated, press release have been sent out and social networks have been tweeted about the local launch:

Welcome to Rdio, your new home for unlimited, on-demand music — we’re a digital music service from the creators of Skype. Rdio is giving people around the world a new way to listen to music, which is why we’re excited to launch Rdio in Australia and New Zealand today. Now you can reinvent the way you discover, listen to and share music. And because Rdio is also available in other countries, including the US, Canada, Brazil and Germany, finding new music is even more fun because users from all over the world are also sharing their discoveries.

Also worth noting is that the service has officially gone live for Sonos customers as well – although you’ll need the premium $12.90 subscription package to take advantage of the 12 million tracks on offer.
